Insurance Claim Adjustor
Application Mobile solution: Seat Mount
Time Frame: 2004
LEDCO was approached by a large insurance company
to outfit systems for their claims personnel - with
an additional requirement that the solutions be compatible
with their personal vehicles. LEDCO designed a seat-mounted
solution that did not require permanent mounting
and did not compromise the integrity of the vehicle.
The Seat Mount has become common in undercover vehicles
as well as in command vehicles.
Continental Airlines Mobile
solution: Wall Mounts
Fleet Size: 500 Units
Time Frame: 2006-present
Continental Airlines
wanted an overnight charging and data synchronization
system where their computers could be housed and
charged when not in use by their mechanics. Of particular
concern was the need to provide asset security with
a specially designed key management strategy. LEDCO
designed a dock that includes mechanical linkages
that deter key loss or theft. To facilitate open
bays, a custom wall panel was designed to hold multiple
docks and their respective chargers.
Manufacturer and Distributor Warehouse
Application Mobile solution: Forklift Mounts for warehouse automation
Fleet Size: 100 Units
Time Frame: 2005
LEDCO designed a tablet mount
for a leading beverage company that allowed the
entire fleet of warehouse forklifts to connect
to inventory management systems. The solution began
with a fleet audit, and resulted in the design
of a custom Pillar Mount Bracket that eliminated
the need for drilling, thereby maintaining the
structural integrity of the forklift's safety canopy.
Gas Utility Mobile solution: Specialty Radio Console
Fleet Size: 2600 Units
Time Frame: 2004-2006
LEDCO completely refitted the fleet for the largest
gas utility in the U.S. with new docking stations
and consoles. The highly complex project involved
more than 1,400 trucks, 75 different makes, models
and model years, and different radio configurations
at each base. The custom designed console fit in
100% of the vehicles regardless of seat configuration.
LEDCO also managed the installation and material
supply chain.
